The meeting is a joint event with the Annual Meeting of the Netherlands Society for Microscopy (NVvM
http://www.microscopie.nl).
Keynote speaker is prof. Ohad Medalia (University of Zurich, Switserland).
Confirmed invited speakers are:
- Remus Dame (Leiden University)
- Martin Depken (Delft University of Technology)
- Dennis Discher (University of Pennsylvania, USA)
- Bert Poolman (University of Groningen)
- Fulvio Reggiori (UMC Utrecht)
- Gregory Scholes (University of Toronto, Cannda)
- Joshua W. Shaevitz (Princeton University, USA)
Goal of this meeting is to bring together all groups that work on molecular and cellular biophysics and microscopy in the Netherlands. The meeting consists of plenary sessions, with invited presentations by (inter)national speakers, and special oral and poster sessions.
Topics include the biophysics of living cells and their membranes, the cytoskeleton, molecular motors, DNA- and RNA-protein interactions, theoretical biophysics, systems biology and networks, photosynthesis, and new developments in light and electron microscopy, imaging and spectroscopy, force probes, (bio)chemical synthesis, and nanotechnology. We welcome contributions from researchers studying these topics from an experimental, theoretical or modelling background.
