Sector Plan Physics and Chemistry
In 2007, the Sector Plan Physics and Chemistry was published. Recently the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science has pledged a budget of 20 million euro per year with effect from 2011. The aim of the Sector Plan is to structurally strengthen scientific research and education in physics and chemistry at both the technical and general universities.
The Steering Group which initiated this plan has appointed a committee to implement this plan. Up until 31 March 2009, institutions could submit profiling plans for education and research in physics and chemistry to the committee.
The committee’s advised was accepted without any amendments on 1 June 2010 by State Secretary Marja van Bijsterveldt and was published on that same date.
