Starting your own company

If you are considering starting your own company after your PhD - for example because during your PhD research you developed a special technique or instrument and you see utilisation possibilities for this – then FOM can support you in that process. Individual agreements are reached for each situation (for example, about the contribution of FOM capital or the purchase of your product, expert support during the start-up process in a commercial and competitive environment, financial support, and bringing you into contact with other players in the market, etc.).

If you are interested in such possibilities then you can submit a reasoned request to the director of FOM.
